The Artist![]() Contemporary artist, Beverley Pietersz Whitten, has been greatly inspired by the elements and beauty of the West Sussex countryside. After having lived most of her life in London, her creative talents were liberated when she moved to the country some years ago, painting with like-minded artists. Her paintings are born out of inspiration, passion and appreciation of the beauty of our planet. It is not only the physical beauty of a place that will stimulate the painting spirit, but also the elemental nature. The vibrant or muted colour caused by the light of the sun, the breeze moving through tall grasses, mists nestling in the folds of a hill or the ever changing cloud in an approaching storm. The spirit of the past, present and future come together to create the essence. Can it be captured? She has exhibited successfully at group exhibitions in Sussex and London and had resounding success with solo exhibitions over the last few years. Her paintings are currently on view at Soanes Restaurant, Petworth and Dolce Norton Manor Conference Centre, Winchester. They are also in private collections in the UK and abroad. |
