"Essence in Art" is a manifestation of pure inspiration. Norene Ré is the creative artist and a woman who takes great joy in being guided by her inspiration. As if whispered into her ear, the phrase she heard, "Essence in Art," had always been at the root of her artistic style. She wasted no time following her inspiration and, with synchronicity and good fortune, she made a promise to herself to follow her dream. She create a website to save, show, and sell her thought-provoking, unique designs which speak of her truest essence. With an eye toward choosing the most captivating, elegant, engaging and creatively inspired works of her abstract drawings… these are the most intriguing creations of her fine art.
Primarily self-taught, Norene's most noteworthy creations of abstract design have been inspired by the works of artist Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944), specifically Composition VIII (1923). Additionally, the book “One Zentangle A Day” by Beckah Krahula (2012) was discovered by Norene's brother one afternoon at an art supply store in Seattle, WA. "Here, this is the kind of book you need!" he said as he handed it to her. That event kick-started Norene's focus on this specific style of art and its production methods. Using various mediums throughout her life, she enjoys creating her "Essence" designs primarily with charcoal, pencils and ink.
Why no color? Norene talks about her use of monochromatic effects by stating the following, "Creating artistic pieces in monochromatic tones provides the ability for literally anyone to enjoy this art form in any area of their home or office without needing to be concerned with color clashes or adhering to a specific color scheme." Stay tuned for new creations Norene is working on that will include some color and personality with the addition of mixed media into her art style.
The pieces you will find here are available for purchase in Giclee prints on paper, gallery-wrapped canvas, or aluminum finish. Some pieces are available in their original format.
